Project Description

Design and construction of a new 9000m² Aged Care Facility (54 bed dementia, 58 bed palliative care), 7500m² Low Care Residential Complex and associated 2000m² Church.

Benefit to Client

Ensured a cost effective delivery of the project as a result of promoting performance based fire engineered solutions and avoiding costly delays due to BCA non-compliances and reducing the Statutory Approval and Certification timeframes. A staged certification and occupancy permit process was employed to enable client operations to commence in conjunction with completion of construction works.

Services Provided

BCA Compliance Assessment, Inspection and Reporting Services; and the Co-ordination and Facilitation of the DFES and City of Stirling Statutory Approvals and Certification processes relative to the project.

Role

Acting as the Project’s Building Surveying Consultant to ensure that the project design and construction meets the requirements of the BCA and other Statute Law requirements.
